Frequently Asked Questions

  • 1. What services do you offer at ShineCo?

We provide professional automotive services including exterior detailing, interior detailing, paint correction & polishing, ceramic coatings, paint protection film (PPF), and window tinting to enhance and protect your vehicle. (based on your site content)

  • 2. How do I schedule a service?

You can book a Free Quote or appointment through our website www.goshineco.com, call us at (864) 809-4385, or fill out our online estimate form. We’ll confirm timing and any caveats once your appointment is scheduled.

  • 3. Do I need to pay a deposit?

We do require a deposits at the time of booking. No deposit = no appointment. Deposits are 100% nonrefundable. If we have to cancel your appointment with not much notice, the chances are slim to none that we can fill that slot. Our techs feed their families based off of booked appointments, and can’t make money if the job is cancelled and we can’t fill that slot. If you provide notice, you can roll that deposit into your job when it’s rescheduled.

  • 4. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept most major credit/debit cards (with a 3.5% service fee), cash, personal checks, and Venmo. Zelle, CashApp, Paypal, Crypto, and other forms of payment are not accepted.

Preparing for Your Appointment

  • 5. Do I need to remove my personal items before service?

Yes — please remove all personal items, loose objects, valuables, and clutter from your vehicle before your appointment. This helps our techs clean efficiently and thoroughly, and removes all liability in us loosing or damaging your belongings. There is understandably a small fee if we need to spend a considerable amount of time cleaning your car OUT before we can detail it.

  • 6. Do you need water or power to detail my vehicle?

At our facility, we have access to the tools we need. If mobile detailing is involved, we bring our own equipment, but we may need to use your water supply depending on the service and vehicle size.

Service Details & Expectations

  • 7. What’s the difference between detailing and a car wash?

A car wash removes surface dirt and debris. It does not remove heavily embedded or caked on bug guts, traffic films, tar, paint, etc.
Detailing is a deeper, more thorough clean — both interior and exterior — that restores and protects your vehicle’s finish using specialized tools, products, and techniques.

  • 8. How long will the service take?

Service time varies depending on vehicle size and the level of detail selected. A typical detail can take 1.5 to 4+ hours, while paint corrections can require longer due to labor hours. Ceramic coatings will require an overnight stay, so the coatings can cure properly.

  • 9. Can I get interior-only or exterior-only detailing?

Yes — all of our services can be a-la-carte, and we can tailor a service to your needs. If what you want isn’t listed in a standard package, just ask for a custom quote.

  • 10. What is ceramic coating and do I need it?

A ceramic coating provides long-lasting protection that enhances gloss, repels water, and helps shield your paint from environmental contaminants — far outperforming wax or sealants.

  • 11. What is Paint Protection Film (PPF)?

PPF is a clear, durable film applied to your vehicle that protects against rock chips, scratches, and environmental wear — ideal for high-impact areas like hoods and bumpers.

Pricing, Cancellations & Policies

  • 12. How much will my service cost?

Final pricing depends on your vehicle’s size, condition, and the services you choose. For an accurate quote, use our Free Quote form or call us directly.

  • 13. What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

If you need to change your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. Deposits are non-refundable, but can be rolled into the job once it’s reschedule as long as we have a 48 hour notice.

Aftercare & Maintenance

  • 14. How should I care for my vehicle after or coating?

We recommend rinse-less washing with pH-friendly car soap and avoiding automatic brush washes where possible. After ceramic coating, follow the maintenance instructions we provide to maintain protection and shine. A free demo wash comes with the purchase.

  • 15. How often should I get my car detailed?

Frequency depends on your driving habits and climate, but a full detail every 3–6 months helps maintain appearance and protection. Ceramic coated cars should be washed no less than once a month to ensure the life of the coatings.
